Grape jam is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It is appreciated by millions every day. It is easy, it is quick, it tastes yummy. Grape jam is something which I’ve loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

Grape jam is one of those lost recipes that no one seems to make any more. Every grade school kid knows about grape jelly, but grape jam has long since gone by the wayside. Grape jam is darn delicious, and it's time it made a comeback! In truth, there's a good reason why grape jam fell out of favor.

To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can have grape jam using 4 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Grape jam:
  1. Prepare 1 kg grapes (I used sultanina)
  2. Take 750 g sugar (if the grapes are too sweet reduce it by 1/2 kg)
  3. Prepare 1 little rose geranium or vanilla for flavor (I used vanilla)
  4. Get juice of half a lemon

To prepare jam: Combine pulp, skins and sugar in a large saucepot. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. As mixture thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking. Jelly is made from the juice of the fruit, usually resulting in a fairly clear sweet spread.

Steps to make Grape jam:
  1. Remove the grapes from the stems, wash them and remove the seeds using a thick pin or hair pin or the special tool (if they have seeds).
  2. Boil the sugar with a little water (I used half a cup) until it dissolves, about 5 minutes. Add the grapes and boil the jam over strong heat at first and when it starts to set turn down the heat constantly stirring with a wooden spoon. At this point, after the grapes start to get tender you can mash them using a potato masher.
  3. It takes about 30-40 minutes until it sets (the jam should drop in a thick blob from the spoon when it has properly set).
  4. Towards the end we add the flavoring of your liking and the lemon. Let the jam cool and distribute it in sterilized jars. Good luck!

As mixture thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking. Jelly is made from the juice of the fruit, usually resulting in a fairly clear sweet spread. Jam, however, is made from crushed fruit. Hence, this is grape jam, NOT jelly. If you are looking to win at the county fair, search for a clear jelly.
