The ingredients needed to make Pineapple puliserry:
- Prepare 1 cup pineapple chopped into cubes
- Take 1/2 cup Curd not too much sour
- Prepare 3/4 cup Coconut grated
- Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Prepare 1/4 tsp Chilli powder
- Get 1/4 cumin seeds
- Make ready 2 green chillies
- Prepare 2 garlic pods
- Prepare as needed Salt
- Make ready 1&1/4 cup water
- Prepare 5 curry leaves
- Take For Tempering:
- Get 2-4 Curry leaves
- Get 3 tsp coconut oil
- Take 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- Take 3 kashmiri chilli
Pineapple pulisery is my favorite curry,because I love the complete pineapple flavour over flowing in this curry…and also the sweet flavour coming from this.this is a famous dish in kerala,You can see this dish in every wedding over there. Serve this with hot steaming rice,it will be heaven. Pineapple Pulissery - Kerala Style, as the name denotes, is a sightly sweet and tangy flavored popular dish prepared from canned pineapple and yogurt. This is a favorite and popular dish in Sadhya menu.
Instructions to make Pineapple puliserry:
- Take a kadai add pineapple cubes removing the centre part of pineapple with 2 green chilli chopped, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4tsp chilli powder,curry leaves, salt as required and water and cook until pineapples are cooked.
- In a mixer jar add coconutgrated,cumin seeds, 1/4turmeric powder, garlic and grind well to fine paste add 1/4cup water as required.
- Add this paste to cooked pine a pole.If you think water is less to cook coconut mixture add half more cup water and cook this in medium flame.
- After the mix have cooked well and thickened add curd according to urtaste. If curd is sour add half cup else full cup. I had added full cup thick curd beaten.
- Then just give a single boil in low flame and switch off flame.
- In a pan add oil.When oil is hot add mustard seeds,.When it crackle lower the flame add kashmiri chill and curry leaves.Switch off flame and add this to pineapple pulisherry.This goes well with rice.
