Komola Bhog is nothing but a Orange Flavored Rasgulla. This recipe was in my to do list for long time and finally tried today and they came out so soft, juicy and delicious Rasgulla with nice Orange flavor. The recipe and method is almost same to the regular Rasgulla except the addition of fresh Orange Juice. Rosogolla is a famous Bengali sweet.

Steps to make KOMOLA BHOG /ORANGE RASAGULLA:
  1. Boil 500 ml of milk. Squeeze orange extract from one fresh orange and half a lemon through a strainer. It will start splitting and form lumps. Drain through a muslin cloth and tie and hang for an hour.
  2. Now take the Paneer into a plate, add 1/2 tsp of powdered Kesar, 1 tsp of grated Orange zest,1tbsp Flour/Maida. Mix and knead everything for 10 minutes until the mixture is smooth and starts leaving the plate. Now make small balls of the mixture and keep aside. This step is very important. So knead properly to get a smooth dough.
  3. Take 1 cup of Orange Juice + 1 cup of water. Add 1/2 cup of Sugar, few Kesar Strands and start boiling the solution. When it starts boiling, add the paneer balls and cook with lid closed for 20 minutes on low flame.
  4. Switch off and check. By now it would have doubled in size. Close and rest it for an hour or two. Refrigerate and serve chilled.

The recipe and method is almost same to the regular Rasgulla except the addition of fresh Orange Juice. Rosogolla is a famous Bengali sweet.
