  2. Melt your butter and add salt, pepper and the herbs. Pour on your potato slices and toss with your hands, making sure these have all been covered nicely. In the process your butter could solidify, but do not worry. Few seconds in the microwave should do the trick.
  3. 'Stack' the slices, not to tightly, one after the other following the shape of your chosen oven dish and bake at 200 C for about 50 minutes or until crispy.

Working quickly, stack potato slices in each muffin cup. Add ½ cup finely grated Parmesan to the butter mixture before tossing with potatoes. In a large bowl, combine potato slices, butter, salt, and pepper; toss gently until evenly coated. Stack potato slices to the top in each muffin cup. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine heavy cream, garlic, rosemary, and nutmeg and heat just until hot.
