- Make ready 1 cup sama/bhagar (small millet)
- Prepare 2 tbsp sago(sabudana)
- Prepare 1 cup curd (fresh)

- Take 3 potatoes (boiled)
- Make ready 2 green chillies (chopped)
- Prepare 1/2 cup coriander leaves (chopped)
- Prepare 1/2 cup pomegranate
- Take 1 tsp lemon juice
- Get 1/2 cup peanuts (roasted)
- Get 3 tsp desiccated coconut
- Make ready 2 tsp oil
- Take 6 tsp chutney
- Get 3 tsp roasted sesame seeds(til)
- Prepare 4 tsp butter
- Prepare 3 tsp black pepper powder
- Prepare To taste rock salt
In a pan, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black cardamom, star anise, cloves, black pepper cons. White sesame seeds, cinnamon stick, bay leaf, dry kashmiri chilli, black salt, degi red chilli powder and asafoetida. Dry roast on low flame until the spices turn aromatic. Dabeli or Kutchi Dabeli or Double Roti originally derived its name from Devnagari language.
Instructions to make Fasting Special Dabeli (Sama Dabeli):
- For making Bun, Firstly grind sama and sago into fine powder. After that add rock salt and curd to make a smooth batter. Keep aside for 15 minutes. If required add little bit of water.
- Now add baking soda and pour the batter into greased bowls. Steam them for 15 minutes in steamer. Keep aside the sama buns.
- Take roasted peanuts in a bowl. Add 1 tsp black pepper powder, rock salt and lemon juice in it. Keep it aside.
- For Filling…. Heat oil in a pan at medium flame. Add chopped green chillies, 2 tsp of black pepper powder and 2 tsp of chutney. Now add boiled potatoes and rock salt. Mix all together. Now keep this potato filling into plate and press it evenly. Now sprinkle first desiccated coconut, then 1 tsp of roasted sesame seeds, then coriander leaves, then roasted peanuts (prepared above), then pomegranate respectively. Press it properly.
- Now cut the sama buns from one side. Now apply chutney and fill the potato filling firmly inside the bun.
- Now bake these filled buns with butter on tawa from both sides. Before serving sprinkle Peanuts, sesame seeds, pomegranate and coriander leaves over dabelis. Now delicious fasting special dabeli is ready to serve with chutney.ππ
