Let us help you craft the perfect meat-free patty—the cheese and bun (or lack thereof) is entirely up to you! This umami-rich burger is unabashedly attempting to imitate a beef burger in flavor, texture, and appearance. Mushrooms and grains form the bulk of the burger–the mushrooms are tender, and the grains stay firm to give the impression of protein which has been cooked. The fat helps coat the separate elements so that it holds together nicely and isn't piecey like most veggie burgers.

Steps to make Home made veggie and meat burgers:
  1. Marinate the mince meat, and prep the lentils by soaking 4 hours or more and boiling til soft,(see the ingredients section).then set aside.then prep the veggies, peel and rince them.
  2. Chop or dice the veggies finely.then set aside..also can grate the carrots and celery if prefer.and these together with the corriander are added last in the pan, after the heat turned off…required to give end nice textures and flavors inshaAllah
  3. Prep the potato grated to fine shredded, needed for these in order to be thin as possible.here added quater cup of water and microwaved for minute till water absorbed and potatoes are stick/glue textured.stir well to combine
  4. Now,in your stir fry pan or large flat pan add the meat and lentils, and cook under low heat..crushing with a fork as go along.then after the mince is British and not many liquids coming out,add the choped and diced veggies
  5. Then add the par boiled grated potato, these will combine well and carry on to cook in the pan,and should may be slightly seen or even tasted at end…this is just to add some depth and maybe some absorption of fluids, but mostly the potato helps the mixture to stick together as binding while making the patties.if the fluids are not drying enough try add some bread slice or discard them,as the mixture has to be workable.
  6. Add the lemon, the grated carrots(you can leave the grated carrot, if mixture is getting liquid and a bit sweet.taste for salt and add as required…alternatively add some stalk powder cubed for better flavor if prefer but remember to reduce the salt content as the cubes has salt already
  7. Now take off the heat and let cool completely before you form the patty rounds.you can coat these in some flour or use beaten egg yolks or any other form of coating that may work for this recipe..it may mean you do some exploring or bit of risk taking.maybe use it on some of the shaped patties first, and try to pan cook them. And see if it works!!!so you can continue the rest of the batches.this way you will not waste away all your hard work just to crumble at the end..
  8. Can refrigerate briefly to help them keep together better, then take out and put only a little amount of cooking oil (just enof to coat pan).then fry to fit in your pan(in batches if necessary)
  9. Turn once golden brown and turn gently not to break the patties..let cool and use on burgers buns or as part of wraps…garnish with corriander, red onion rings, and can also add salad of choices..Bismillah

Mushrooms and grains form the bulk of the burger–the mushrooms are tender, and the grains stay firm to give the impression of protein which has been cooked. The fat helps coat the separate elements so that it holds together nicely and isn't piecey like most veggie burgers. This versatile and delicious veggie burger mix can be made into patties or crumbled up and used in place of meat in other recipes. Combine the vegetables with the beef, oats, beans, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and egg. In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon oil.
