I usually made quorma with crisp fried onions but this time change the way.Choped onions,ginger,garlic together finely in chopper(not paste)but finely chop.heat oil,add choped onions & fried to golden brown.(you can use ginger/garlic paste as well).add sabit garam masala,add spice mix dahi.fry well till oil seprates from masala.
  4. Add battair(quails) in masala carefully,the pot should be big so that quails do not mashed up & breaks joints.it should remain intact during cooking so use spoon less & carefully.add 1+1/2 cup water, let them cook at medium flame. If needed more water can be added.
  5. When quails are tender, add black cumin,pinch of saffron mix in milk.plx note just a thread or two of saffron so not to overcome the colour of qourma but to add smell and essence.it is totally optional.adjust gravy to your taste.we prefer quorma as bhuna bhuna so did not add more water.
